GPS Vehicle tracker is a secure web based software designed for Transportation Fleet Managers, Supervisors, Dispatchers and any one that is involved with real time tracking of an organizational Vehicle Fleet. The system is ideal for tracking School Bus movements, monitoring and dispatch of Public Works or Maintenance Vehicles or for tracking Law Enforcement/Emergency Response fleets.
The software receives vehicle information from hardware GPS enabled devices mounted on vehicles. Information received is displayed to users through an easy to use Web interface on top of a background road map. GPS Vehicle Tracker provides a real time view of the location of fleet vehicles along with other critical data associated with the vehicle such as speed, heading, active/inactive status etc. The reporting capabilities allow users to get access to a variety of Vehicle data. The data can then be used for efficient planning and management of the fleet. The system has the ability to record and store vehicle movement data and then allows users to view historical vehicle activity such as routes taken, stops made, speeds achieved etc.
The software is Web based. Users can access the capabilities of the system through an Internet Web browser without having to download or install any custom special software on their desktop computer. The software has been built on the world-renowned ESRI ArcGIS Server technology platform.
